A thorough knowledge of camera controls and darkroom procedures is expected, as a great deal of emphasis is placed on self-directed work.
Learning Outcomes
During the course you will have been given the opportunity to:
· Work on personal assignments chosen after consultation with your tutor
· Gain a good knowledge of different studio lighting techniques and practices and use that knowledge to produce high quality images.
· Experiment with alternative photographic processes.
· Become familiar with specific health and safety considerations related to the darkroom environment.
Practical demonstrations of camera and printing techniques will be supported by lectures and slide shows, whilst tutor feedback will monitor student progress.
Your Tutor
Tony Lumb has spent over 20 years as an Editorial and Advertising photographer working with the best agencies and art directors in the business on high profile advertising campaigns as the first assistant to the internationally renowned photographer Peter Lavery. Tony has travelled the globe shooting and producing photographic shoots in a wide variety of locations from the frozen wastes of Northern Greenland to the arid deserts of America and Australia. He is currently the head of Photography at Hills Road Sixth Form College.

Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
