From February 2013 all door supervisors will be required by the SIA to complete this unit in order to renew their license

Course review:

This one day course aims to provide delegates with both the knowledge and practical skills to meet the SIA requirements for Physical Intervention.

Delegates will be required to demonstrate an understanding of physical intervention, the legal and professional implications of their use, how to reduce the risk of harm to themselves and others when physical intervention skills are used.

Be able to demonstrate the use of non-pain compliant standing holding and escorting techniques, including non-restrictive and restrictive skills.

Demonstrate good practice to follow after physical interventions
