Beginners class with Alethea Vane-Hier
Thursdays, 5.45pm - 6.45pm
Pilates is a gentle form of exercise, with an emphasis on toning muscle balance, alignment, breath, and core stability. It was devised in the late 1800's by Jospeh Pilates, a gymnast with a history of physical aliments. He found his method developed of a strong adaptable body and he went on to teach many dancers and physical practitioners of his time.
The evening program Pilates class is taught by Alethea who is the lead tutor for conditioning for Circomedia students. This class is designed as a preparatory class for trapeze and aerial work, with a focus on strength, flexibility, alignment and core strength for improving technique in aerial classes.
