To teach the basic skills and associated job safety knowledge to operators of Rider Pivot Counterbalance Lift trucks, to delegates with no previous operating experience on rider-type forklift trucks.

Course Summary
Learn how to safely and efficiently operate a pivot counterbalance forklift truck.
On completion of the course you will be familiar with statutory requirements and will understand rated capacities, principles of stability, operator safety code, machine controls, daily checks etc. You will also have covered steering procedures in both open and confined areas, stacking and destacking, awkward loads and where appropriate 'job specific' training.
As a record of your acheivement, a TAL certificate of training is provided.
This course meets the Employers Relevant Statutory Requirements under Section 2 of the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974, and exceeds the relevant standards and recommendations set out in the HSC Approved Code of Practice and Supplementary Guidance.

3-5 days, depending on applications and delegate experience, maximum 3 x delegates per instructor
