Course programme
These Plastering Courses will extend the plastering skills that you already have or that you learned on our Plastering Essentials - Board, Skim and Repair Course. The skills covered in Plastering Advanced enable you gain a greater understanding in to the skills of a professional plasterer tackling complex jobs and increasing your scope of DIY project work at home.
Plastering Advanced - Bonding or Browning and Rendering gives you the opportunity to experience and practice the skills of applying full bonding or browning, internal sand and cement render onto brick or block type surfaces in readiness to apply final skim coats and polished render.
Typically you will require these skills where a "dot and dab" plasterboard wall is not appropriate or wanted. This may be in a new build extension, complete re-plaster of an older property where traditional methods are preferred or where sand and cement render is required to complete a damp proof project.
Finally you will learn how to apply textured and patterned effects to your walls and ceilings as well as learning how to take textured and patterned surfaces back to a skimmed finish.
Our experienced trainers will guide, observe and help you through a series of practical exercises enabling you to develop and adjust your evolving technique and understanding in order that you can do a good job, first time when it matters at home or at work.
