Course Overview
This course will "build" the candidate through a Level 1 programme onto a Level 2 industry standard qualification providing the basic skills needed for a career in Plastering.
The course acts as a good introduction to the trade and will give you the opportunity to develop the skills you will need to progress to the Level 3 Diploma &/or possible employment in the Plastering trade.
Course Structure
This is a 1 year course delivered at our Hornet Close site with attendance at college for 2.5 days per week.
Some topics covered will include:
- Know how to carry out safe working practices
- Knowledge of information, quantities and communicating with others
- Building methods & technology
- Prepare background surfaces and plaster materials
- Apply plaster materials to internal backgrounds
- Know how to produce components from moulds
- Synoptic practical phase test
Qualification Aims
Successful candidates will achieve the Plastering Diploma Level 2
Candidates can then progress onto the Diploma Level 3 (or NVQ Level 2 if they find employment in the trade)

Cost / Equipment
Tuition fees£560 (including registration & certification)
Tuition is free for those aged 16-18 years
Free tuition is also available to those in receipt of certain benefits or to their unwaged dependants
