About this course

The learner will demonstrate their abilities to practice the skills and knowledge in these mandatory units
- Conforming to the Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace
- Prepare background surfaces for plasterwork
- Apply finishing plaster to background surfaces
- Produce internal/external solid plastering/rendering finishes
- Install mechanically fixed plasterboard
- Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace
- Conforming to the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace
- Setting Up and Using Fixed Tools in the Workplace
- Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace

The candidate needs to have a minimum of 1 year experience within the construction industry.

Course programme

This course will enable anyone working as a plasterer in the UK to gain an NVQ Level 2. With an NVQ Level 2 qualification, and successful completion of the health and safety test, you can gain your CSCS Skill Card and improve your chances of employment. All construction sites will require a CSCS card by end of 2010.

Our experienced NVQ assessors visit you on site and help and support you to prove your competence against the NVQ criteria. They will visit you anywhere in the UK.
