- Contribute to positive relationships in the play setting.

- Contribute to health and safety of the play environment.
- Deal with accidents and emergencies.

Assessment:
Most of the evidence you need to produce will be work-based. Each candidate will be allocated an experienced assessor who will assess you in the workplace and look at the evidence in your portfolio to judge if you have fully met the NVQ standards (This should happen approximately every 4 weeks throughout the programme).
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
The qualification will help the candidate to become confident and competent in their work, and progress onto the NVQ Level 3 Playwork when they will increase their duties and responsibilities. The NVQ 2 in Playwork links in well with the â€-NVQ 3 Children's Care Learning & Development' which is appropriate for those working in a supervisory role with 0-16 year olds.
Additional Information:
The programme is currently sponsored by Lancashire Sure Start, Early Years and Childcare Partnership with the student contribution of only £50 (This contribution may be waived if this is your first Level 2 qualification).
