Is the course for me?
This programme is for people who are interested in gaining a full NVQ level 2 qualification in the Plumbing industry. The course is designed for adults who have worked in the plumbing industry trade for at least 5 years but may not have completed any certification.

What will I learn?
You will produce a portfolio of site evidence towards an NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Plumbing. You will also take the 12 City & Guilds exams in the centre and after the completion of a 'Skill Scan' will have an action plan of any required training in preparation for the required practical assessment.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed in college on underpinning knowledge using the multiple choice tests. On site assessment is also a requirement of the course.This will be based upon your submittal of a portfolio showing competence under the supervision of a work based recorder and also on-site visits by a qualified assessor.

What can I do after the course?
You could do the Level 3 NVQ Advanced Apprenticeship in Plumbing. This includes Planning and Designing Complex Plumbing Systems, Domestic Gas, Water Regulations (WRAS), Unvented Domestic Hot water Certificate and also Part L Energy Efficiency. The centre also offers The Part P, Defined Scope, Electrical Cetificate.
