About this course




Plumbing Apprentices will attend Highbury Northarbour Centre one day per week. The rest of the week will be spent learning on the job with their employer. Apprentices will build a portfolio of evidence including photos and details of work they have carried out and will be assessed in the workplace on specific jobs and tasks.

Course programme

An Apprenticeship is a national work-based training programme designed for individual industries. Apprenticeships are a great way of earning and learning at the same time.
You will study towards a number of qualifications designed for you to achieve the skills for your chosen career.

Level 3 BPEC Diploma in Plumbing & Heating
Level 2 Functional Skills in Application of Number, Communication and ICT
Employers Rights and Responsibilities Certificate
There are a number of exams in the Level 3 Technical Certificate along with Functional Skills tests (from which you may be exempt if you have the appropriate GCSEs).
The course contains a mixture of theory and practical learning to give the skills needed for working in plumbing.

We will work with you and your employer to review your progress throughout the Apprenticeship.

Progress reports will be given to your employer by your tutors.
