PMC Silver Jewellery Classes in London

Time: 10.30-5pm
Place: Dulwich Village, London SE21 7DH (10 mins away from London Bridge by train or a 15 minute bus ride from Brixton Tube station either the 37 or P4 to Dulwich)

Price: £95 per day which includes enough silver to make all the pieces 

This beginners class is for anyone who is new to working with PMC and would like to spend an exciting day experimenting and learning new techniques. We generally follow three projects throughout the day which include:
-  a small stone set pendent,
- a pair of earrings
- and a simple wrap over ring.

However there is also lots of flexibility in terms of design and experimentation.
 
Some of the skills covered in the class include: -
 - Understanding the basic tools
 - Handling and managing PMC (understanding the basic qualities and limitations of PMC)
 - Rolling to a consistent repeatable thickness
 - Making holes for Jump rings
 - Working with a variety of textures and texture plates
 - Using Slip and building up layers with PMC
 - Torch and kiln firing
 - Sanding and polishing
 And lots of extra hints and tips
 
 
 
The price of the class is £95 which includes 16 grams of PMC (enough to make all the projects if you work fairly small) you will also receive a class kit with notes and a few basic things to get you started.
 
By the end of the day you should have enough skills to go away and start making things from home. There will be the opportunity to buy extra clay if you need it and we also have some tool kits for sale if you would like to continue working with PMC after the class.
