The course objectives are to showcase a fantastic versatile product new to the UK. At the end of the 2 days, participants will be able to complete a small room or bathroom to a satisfactory standard. Site based training and further advanced courses are available for those wishing to create a successful business from polished effect / concrete overlay flooring systems. Suitable for: This course is suitable for everyone. Ladies are welcome on our courses. The product is easy to apply, and no previous building or trowel experience is necessary. Plasterers and tilers find the product works well with their existing skills.

Darren has 25 years experience in traditional and mechanical diamond grinding and polishing of concrete. His speciality at Polished Cement FX is teaching concrete hand trowel polishing on new slabs, and machine polishing exposed aggregate and glass to create stunning floors, worktops and sinks.

Course programme
A 2 day fully hands on course, that covers site preparation, mixing and handling of materials and tools. Product colouring, design and application. Polishing and finishing. Day 2 will include application of the product to walls, steps and worktops, focusing on solving problems in realistic settings. Each attendee will complete vertical and horizontal sections, as well as samples boards focused on colour and design that can be used to sell the finishes to clients on completion of the course. Certificates will be presented to those who sucessfully complete the workshop, and these participants will be given the opportunity for on-going work based training, and to tender for projects within the Polished Cement FX portfolio
