Our Polished plastering course was created in 2010 to help plasterers, DIY and decorators like you to create stunning feature walls and ceilings with Italian plasters. We at Impera Italia not only want to make sure that you're confident when you apply Italian finishes like polished plaster, but also that once you complete the course you'll be able to offer and sell them!

In our London showroom we will teach you how to apply each layer of polished plaster, from primer to plaster to protectors and how to create a variety of effects with only a Venetian polished plastering trowel!

We will also demonstrate and teach you how to use colour washes, (metallic) waxes, different application tools and how to create bespoke effects in your home or for your project with a variety of polished plaster!

About this course

You'll learn how to work with a variety of Italian polished plasters (also known as stucco lucido, stucco veneziano, lucidato, stucco lustro), and other decorative plasters like Marmorino, Travertino and intona (or intonachino). You'll be familiar with the theory and practice of applying base coats, primers, plasters and protectors and once you complete the course you will be able to apply any polished plaster on feature walls or ceilings

This course is the ideal entry-level Venetian polished plastering course for any DIY, plasterer, renderer or decorator.

You will not only learn traditional Italian and modern British polished plastering methods from master applicators with 10+ years of experience, but will be equipped with the right knowledge to specify, design and market all Italian Venetian plaster finishes for walls and ceilings!
Impera Italia, as the largest retailer in the UK will also supply you with a selection of free samples, charts and finally, you can also take the boards featuring a variety of polished plasters with you to show your friends and clients what you've achieved!

You should choose us because our course is designed to make you a competent and successful polished plasterer and not just to deliver a training - this course is built on years of practical experience and hundreds of real project scenarios!
We're not only a training centre, but the largest polished plaster shop in the UK our aim is to build your business and help you to grow and to make sure that you deliver the highest, proven quality!

We use 4 different Venetian plasters (not counting acrylic variations) and almost a dozen effects. With these four plasters we're sure that you'll be able to create create most if not all effects currently used on the British market!
Whoever teaches more than that will not be able to make you confident enough to apply even one of them and the only reason why the do so is that they would like to sell you their chosen manufacturer's whole range.
We make sure that you'll be confident with ANY Venetian plaster application, independent of the make.
