Course programme

This course is for persons who want to carry out in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT Testing). The course covers the theory and practice of PAT Testing and the completion of the appropriate forms. It is suitable for both electricians and non-electricians, although some practical/technical knowledge or experience would be desirable. successful completion of the course will result in the award of a City & Guilds 2377 certificate.

Career opportunities: Most companies, landlords, hotels etc have their appliances PAT Tested in order to show compliance with the Electricity at work Regulations requirement to ensure that all electrical equipment is maintained in a safe condition. opportunities exist for competent PAT testers to carry out inspections on behalf of the Duty Holders of the premises.
