Course programme

You will cover the following (format is flexible and may vary): Week 1 - Clay handling, pinch pots, basic coil pot, handmade coil Week 2 - Wrap round slab pot Week 3 - Large pot with machine made coils Week 4 - Slab box structure Week 5 - Introduction to thrown forms on potters wheel & Decorative pressed forms Week 6 - Animal sculptures (hand & machine coils) Week 7 - Sculptures continued & further throwing exercises on potters wheel Week 8 - Clay marbling (slip trailing) Week 9 - Further wheel work & inlaid and scraffito designs Week 10 - Resist work with coloured slips & paper templates
