What Will I Learn

The HNC Poultry Production covers such topics as commercial egg production, poultry meat production, and poultry health, ensuring that you have the skills to manage a healthy stock of laying or breeding birds, including knowledge of control measures and legislative requirements.

How Will I Learn

Distance Learning modules are delivered on-line on a part-time basis. You will undertake a variety of case-studies/reports and essays during the course culminating in the Graded Unit where you will investigate a real-life scenario. No campus attendance is required as the course is studied from the comfort of your own home or workplace on your own schedule and you are supported throughout your course by direct communication with experienced and knowledgeable staff.

Progression Opportunities

Upon successful completion of this course, it may be possible for campus-based students to progress into year 2 of the SRUC BSc/BSc (Hons) Agriculture course.
