PPL Pre-Part P foundation electrical

PPL Pre-Part P foundation electrical course theory overview:
The course is taught in our modern electrical training centre. There is a maximum of 8 students on the course. Foundation electrical theory topics include:

• Basic electrical theory
• Safe isolation
• Wiring principles
• Introduction to using a test multi-meter
• Part P regulations and qualifications

The course assumes no previous electrical knowledge and only basic mathematical skills (don't worry!) The course links into Bpec's Part P course although students who feel confident in their electrical ability should take the direct entry route into the Part P courses without the need for taking this Pre-Part P course.
There are no written examinations or practical tests on this course. This allows students to concentrate of the electrical theory and practical skills without any examination pressure. A certificate of attendance is issue to all students who complete the course. PPL Pre-Part P foundation electrical course pratical overview: Each student will have access to an individual Pre-Part P electrical training board, tool kit and safety equipment. The electrical training board is the same as the Part P training board. It contains a consumer unit, ring main, lighting circuit, fused spur, central heating wiring and meter tails.
The practical course starts with basic electrical wiring skills, including safe isolation. No previous electrical skills or experience is assumed. Our relaxed and knowledgeable tutors will assist students as they progress from the basics.
