Course suitability

This course is ideal for those who have either completed the Practical Computing Intermediate course or CLAIT.

Entry qualifications

A good sound knowledge of Microsoft Office - this class is not suitable for beginners.

Information about the course

This course is intended to add to your existing office skills integrating files from different applications to produce documents.

Course content

The following may be included on the course:

Produce a database in Access or Excel.

Run queries and reports from Access.

Produce a mail merge document using Access/Excel and Word.

Produce a newsletter importing files from different applications.

Use a DTP Package in Microsoft Publisher to produce a calender.

Additionality

All course materials will be produced.

However you will need to bring your own memory stick. If you do not have one you may be able to purchase one from the tutor at a cost of £6.00. Please ensure you bring enough money at the first lesson to cover this, otherwise you will not be able to save your work. You will also need an A4 folder to keep your work book in.

Please bring your Invoice and Learning Agreement with you as this has your unique student ID number enabling you to access the computer facilities.

Please also bring a notebook and pen.

No formal assessment.

Payment options: UK/EU Fee : £100.00 Overseas Fee : £160.00 Part-time enrolments are subject to an additional annual registration fee of £10 payable once only per academic year (exemptions may apply).
