3. Entry requirements Applicants must be at least 19 years old when they commence study and must have an interest in Science. You should be considering taking an Access to HE course in the future, when you have successfully completed this course. In order to progress to Access to HE you will need GCSE A*-C in English and mathematics. In order to meet this requirement it is recommended that you have at least one of these GCSEs at Grade A*-C before starting Pre Access and that you have a qualification or are assessed at least at level 1 in the other. If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course. To discuss further, please contact the ESOL department on 0151 551 7144. 4.
