You will achieve an Entry Level certificate in Science. This specification is set by AQA (4948)

Course Content:
You will study five units, covering the subjects of biology, chemistry and physics. The course includes the following. Life processes and living things; Materials and their properties; Physical processes. Students will carry out practical coursework assessments which account for 25% of the final grade.

16-19 year olds are expected to take at least 4 other subjects. They will be entered for the Entry Certificate. You will also be on a Curriculum 2000 programme, doing Key Skills in Communication, Application of Number and IT, plus enrichment sessions.

Progression:
Successful students have progressed to GCSE Science or other related vocational subjects.
