Preparation for Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

This course will provide you with a grounding for a possible rewarding career within the Motor Vehicle Industry. The course will give you the opportunity to achieve the knowledge, understanding and skills required to gain employment in the sector, or progress to further education. There will be both classroom and workshop based work.

One academic year.

You will gain knowledge, understanding and skills in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, which will prepare you for further study or employment. There will be an opportunity to develop practical skills in a workshop environment, and develop knowledge and understanding of principles in the classroom.

There is a strong emphasis on safety throughout the award. You will also develop your core skills in communication, information technology, problem solving, team-working and numeracy.
