Preparatory course – classical instrument and voice studies

• Instrument / voice first study (1 lesson/week)
  improving instrumental / voice techniques, deepening stylistic knowledge, learning about genres, developing skills for music interpretation, stage training
• Chamber music / chamber singing (1 lesson/week)
  improving skills for playing music in an ensemble, taking part in the work of chamber groups of different set-up
• Coaching with piano (1 lesson/week, part of first study lesson)
  developing musical repertoire to an artistic level, learning the skills for ensemble music-making
• Theory of music (2 lessons/week)
  harmony and formal studies of baroque and Viennese classical music, analysis of baroque and Viennese classical movements, improvement of stylistic knowledge
• Musicianship (2 lessons/week)
  a comprehensive subject for improving muical skills, including vocal development of aural, writing, reading, rythmical, memory and transposition skills of music, practising concentration and self-adaptation for playing music
• Piano (1 lesson/week)
  natural instrumental techniques, improving technical and musical skills through studying works from different eras of piano repertoire, improving sight-reading, playing piano accompaniment
• Music repertoire (2 lessons/week) – optional
  an overall view of the history and styles of European music, obtaining further knowledge about genres by studying representative works of music of different stylistic eras
• Folk music (1 lesson/week) – optional
  studying treasures of folk songs (European, own national and Hungarian), improving analyzing techniques of folk music, obtaining further knowledge about ethno-musicology, getting an overall view of the history of Hungarian and international folk music research processes
