Who is it for?
This course is a requirement for new teachers in the Lifelong Learning Sector who do not have or who are not currently studying for a teaching qualification.

What will I do?
You will look at the principles of teaching including the role of the teacher, teaching and learning approaches, planning and delivering sessions and assessment.

You do not have to be in a teaching role to do this course, so it is suitable for those who are considering a career in teaching and would appreciate a taster course.

Assessment
You will be assessed through a number of short essays, micro-teaching and through writing a personal reflective journal.

How long is the course?
The course will be delivered over 12 weeks.
