Course programme

Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector - City and Guilds accedited course. Please note: our courses are delivered in Kent in the South East of England - not distance learning.

LearnInvicta is a Kent-based company with courses largely taking place in Kent. In-house courses in the UK for larger numbers can always be discussed with us.

The initial step on the teaching journey is to undertake the Preparing to teach in the life long learning sector course (PTLLS). This course does not need any teaching experience nor does it require you to be in a teaching role. We work with you so that by the end of the course you have the basis of teaching which would enable you to start looking for work. The course does have written and practical assignments culminating in a 30 minute observed teaching session. The program is typically 30 hour’s delivery and around 30 hours self study. We would encourage you at this point to become an associate member of the Institute of Learning which is a statutory requirement for all those who wish to work in the Life Long Learning Sector.
