Course Description
Our Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care course has been designed and created to provide students with a more in depth knowledge of this subject area. This course is ideal for individuals who are looking to work in a care setting or are new to this area of work. The learning materials aim to provide students with all the necessary understanding needed to provide a high standard of care.
Students can expect to learn more about a number of aspects including communication (verbal and non-verbal) and the different styles that can be used. Learners will also explore legislation and standards related to the social care industry (including the Human Rights Act 1988). Other areas you can expect to learn about include abuse and neglect, The Care Quality Commission (CQC), responding to complaints, risk assessment, hazard analysis, confidentiality and much more!
As you can see there is a lot to learn with regards to working in adult social care. This programme aims to equip students with everything they need to know. Students will have the opportunity to develop their theory in relation to their practice. Learners will be required to study nine modules, all of which will explore a different aspect of working in adult social care. Learners will be guided through each module and will be provided with tutor support (via mail or email) so there is no need to feel isolated during your studies.
This NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care has been accredited by the Register of Regulated Qualifications (Ofqual) and is part of the Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF).
You must successfully complete all nine units to be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care.
