Victoria Anne Tollette is the proprietor and principle tutor at Hands-on-Workshops.The philosophy is to encourage, support and empower participants to achieve high standards of understanding, and as appropriate, professialism. Vicky originally trained at Churchill Centre London, and the Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, under the tutelage of Prof. William Arnould-Taylor, (the founder of ITEC). Gained a diploma in biology in addition to the International Therapy Education Council, (ITEC) diplomas in massage, aromatherapy and sports therapy. Further post-graduate training with Prof.Arnould-Taylor followed closely in various therapies, including hydrotherapy, lymph-drainage and phys-essential therapy. Over the years, Vicky has undertaken accredited training with professional establishments such as Shirley Price, Leicester, and Mary Bolton, Nottingham, as well as studying overseas. For several years, Vicky has enjoyed flourishing private practices, both in the UK and abroad, as well as being employed by a local Health Trust. In 1990 Vicky entered into adult education, after gaining the City and Guilds 7304 certificate. 1995 saw the completion of the Quality Auditors course, based on BS EN ISO 9000 series, Quality Management Systems. In 2001, further studies led to the Certificate in Education award, (Cert Ed). Also in 2001, Vicky gained the Managing Safely certificate awarded by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). This in turn led to Vicky becoming a registered trainer with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, (CIEH). Since 2003, Vicky has held a B.A. in Education and Training.
Courses and workshops are held in various locations throughout the UK, Ireland and Dubai. All venues have a risk assessment carried out prior to the booking.
Major professional bodies, including IPTI and CMA have approved the courses for insurance and Professional Development. The introductory workshops are provided for beginners, and therefore do not offer the above.
The teaching at Hands-on-Workshops is amongst the best, with the principle tutor offering expertise and experience in the field, having years of clinical practice to enrich the classroom experience. The tutor will use innovative and creative abilities to develop and present the curriculum, being passionate about imparting expertise in the specific subject and field.
