Course programme

This course progressively leads you to the standards required of a newly qualified teacher. In the first year, you will have a general introduction to all curriculum areas. During the second year, you will have the chance to undertake more specialist study in a specific subject. In the second year you will do a special placement that will enable you to explore the education sector. You will arrange this yourself with support from the Placement Office. Students have used this as an opportunity to teach abroad, work in special schools, in education departments of hospitals, in outdoor education or in museums.
