PRINCE2 Foundation

PRINCE2 is an exam based qualification composed of two levels:

Foundation and Practitioner. The PRINCE2 Foundation course will focus on equipping the Delegate with a detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2 methodology including the eight processes, eight components and three techniques central to running a project using the PRINCE2 method. The successful completion of the Foundation Exam will give the Delegate a recognised Foundation qualification 

Learning Objectives:
·    Learn and understand the PRINCE2 method
·   Develop a thorough understanding of using the PRINCE2 method
·    Answer any questions or concerns Delegates may have about using PRINCE2 to run projects
·    Pass the Foundation Exam
·   Lay a firm Foundation knowledge to allow Delegates to move onto Practitioner Level

Course Content:
Introduction

·    Defining a project and the basic components making a up a project
·    Identify common project problems and how PRINCE2 can be used to overcome these PRINCE2 Process Model
·    An overview of the 8 processes which form the foundation of the PRINCE2 methodology
·    How processes are used in the lifecycle of a project Components
·    An overview of the 8 components of the PRINCE2 method and how each component supports Project, Risk and Quality Management Techniques
·    A description of Product Based Planning, Quality Review and Change Control Exam Preparation
·    Review of exam questions, mapped against key areas of the PRINCE2 manual
·    How to approach the exam
·    Mock exam practice marked and feedback given by the trainer
 
The Course Will Benefit:

·    3 day course, suggested 15 hours of pre-course preparation
·    1 hour multiple choice, closed book Foundation Exam on the third day
·   Evening work based on exercises set and marked by the trainer will amount to an hour every evening
·   Delegates are encouraged to complete evening work to ensure the best chance of an exam pass

We recognise that attending a PRINCE2™ and MSP™ course should be about understanding and appreciating the method, as well as passing the exams. However, attending a 3 or 5-day course is a big time commitment and we understand that one of your main aims is to pass the examinations first time. Maven has an excellent track record in the successful completion of the examinations by delegates attending our courses. In both the PRINCE2™ and MSP™ examinations, our success rates are far in excess of the national average, with regular successful completion of both examinations by all attendees on a course. Our 99.8% pass rate at the foundation level of PRINCE2™ and 87% at the Practitioner level (national average is 77%) places us at the number one position in the top 20 providers of PRINCE2™ Training. We also have an outstanding 100% success rate on our MSP Foundation level and 81% on our MSP™ Practitioner level courses.
