The PRINCE2 Foundation Course covers the whole of the syllabus of PRINCE2 Foundation Level and prepares participants for the PRINCE2 Foundation examination. The PRINCE2 Foundation course imparts the elementary principles of the PRINCE2 project management method. This level provides enough information for all those involved in PRINCE2 to understand their role and responsibilities, and to understand the terms and components of PRINCE2. This is a two day overview, delivered by a classroom event and is designed for people who require a general level of PRINCE2 understanding. The final day of the course will include the Foundation examination. Target Group

Following the completion of the course participants will be able to:
 
Understand and use the most important concepts of the PRINCE2 method Participate effectively in a project in accordance with the PRINCE2 method Understand the elementary principles of PRINCE2: Components Techniques Processes Describe the purpose and major content of all roles, the eight components, the eight processes, and the techniques. Recognise the components, techniques and processes of PRINCE2 and their mutual dependencies State which management products are input to, output from, and updated in the eight processes, and the sub-processes of Controlling a Stage (CS) and Managing Product Delivery (MP). State the relationships between processes, deliverables, roles and the management dimensions of a project. Apply into practice PRINCE2 principles Sit the PRINCE2 Foundation Exam.

The following subjects will be covered during the course:
 
PRINCE2 Introduction The relationship between a project and its Business Case. PRINCE2 project preparation starting and initiating a project PRINCE2 project control Detailed explanation of the PRINCE2 components and techniques. Roles and associated tasks and responsibilities, within a PRINCE2 project. PRINCE2 project realization realizing and closing a project Structure and contents of a product focused project plan. The management of a project relative to the project plan. Definition, management and acceptance of work packages. Examination technique for the Foundation exam

The Examination
 
The PRINCE2 Foundation examination is a 75 multiple choice question paper to be completed in one hour: Multiple-choice One hour duration 75 questions 38 correct answers are required to pass Closed-book All successful delegates will receive the PRINCE2 Foundation certificate from the APMG.
