The Prince's Trust Team Programme is a unique personal development programme for 16-25 year olds. The course is available to both employed and unemployed young people. The Prince's Trust message 'Yes You Can' encourages young people to believe in themselves, whatever obstacles they face. With this in mind the programme focuses on developing self confidence, learning new skills, and achieving.

Requirements: There are no formal qualifications required, although applicants do need to be committed to giving themselves the opportunity to gain valuable qualifications, skills and experience. This will enable them to progress onto further achievements including further education, training and employment. Application for the programme can be made through self referral and completion of college application...

course content
The Prince's Trust Team Programme is a unique personal development programme for 16-25 year olds. The course is available to both employed and unemployed young people.

The Prince's Trust message 'Yes You Can' encourages young people to believe in themselves, whatever obstacles they face. With this in mind the programme focuses on developing self confidence, learning new skills, and achieving qualifications through a variety of teamwork and teambuilding activities. There is a team building residential in the second week, a community project, fund raising activities, work placements, and Information Advice and Guidance through reviews and tutorial support.

Main Qualification:
City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Personal, Teamwork and Community Skills (3791)

Other Qualifications:
  • Basic Skills Literacy and Numeracy Level 1 or Level 2
  • Key Skills in Working with Others and Problem Solving
  • First Aid
  • Food Hygiene
Other Course Activities:
Student Enrichment Activities and Awareness workshops are also included in the programme and £150 achievement bonus is achievable on full attendance on all aspects of the programme.

Students can progress onto a full range of Further Education courses at Level 1 or Level 2 including Entry to Employment and Job Path, or Modern Apprenticeships, and employment with or without training.
