This course is suitable for anyone who would like to explore creative ways of making pattern via the medium of print and surface pattern. There will be something for all levels to explore from the absolute novice to those studying Art, Design or Fashion and Textiles and want to expand and learn new skills.

Course programme

This course will start with the basics of block printing and mark making, giving you the opportunity to explore various methods. You will also look at transforming hand drawn images and/or photographic images into simple digital design which can be printed on either paper or fabric (*additional cost will apply). We will also explore mono printing, silk screen printing, transfer printing and cold water dyeing of fabric.
