Course Director
Louise Lansdown has been a full-time viola louise lansdownand chamber music tutor at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester since 2001, and holds part-time teaching positions at the University of Manchester and Junior RNCM. She has been involved with Pro Corda, a school for gifted young string players and pianists, held at Leiston Abbey in Suffolk, since 1999, teaching on the Intermediate, North and Junior Courses, and Directing the former since 2005.
Course programme
Course Content
A chance for talented violists, to benefit from seven days residential intensive viola playing.
Players from ages 8-18 will experience:
- small ensembles
- viola orchestra
- improvisation
- technique sessions
- masterclasses
- sightreading skills
- performance technique
- staff concerts, and
- Dalcroze Eurythmics
A Viola will be provided for you to play if you need one.
No audition required for current Pro Corda violinists and violists - other students considered on teacher recommendation.
The final concert will be held on Sunday 25th October.
