This is a project based course aimed at giving students an overview of the key issues involved in the design, management, and evaluation of microfinance programs that target low-income micro-entrepreneurs and households.
The course assignments teaches practical skills and critical thinking about the major debates in the industry for those considering a career in microfinance, or those interested in bottom-of-the-pyramid approaches to doing business with dual social and financial goals, i.e. doing well while doing good.
