The BA in Professional Development (BAPD) is an innovative degree programme, which focuses on offering CPD opportunities for those involved in a wide range of professions. The programme has flexible entry and exit points. Open learning is the main mode of delivery.
The BADP focuses quite specifically on continuing professional development and is based on a model of continuing professional development, which, emphasises the centrality of:
- Learning from experience through reflective practice
- Inquiry as a method of resolving professional problems
- Critical evaluation of professional practice
Courses target those associated with:

- young people and families
- adult learning
- literacies
- child protection
- community learning
- social care and family therapy
