About the course
The Professional (Graduate) Certificate in Education (PCE/PGCE) is a part time, in-service teacher training programme run through the University of Greenwich. It provides a great opportunity for those new to teaching in the Further Education and Skills Sector and those teachers who already have some experience who want to develop their teaching skills and become fully qualified. This course will give you the knowledge and skills to develop effective practice and gain up to date knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment strategies.

Entry requirements
As this is an in-service teacher training programme, you will need to already be teaching in an appropriate educational establishment for a minimum of hours for each year of the programme. You will also need to have a Level 3 Subject Specialist qualification. All candidates will be required to attend an interview before joining the programme. Interviewers will seek evidence of: hours of teaching (over two years) L3 Subject Specialist qualification Teaching of groups of 8+ students Teaching a variety of topics/levels Subject Specialist Mentor
