About this course

This degree is provided by the Institute for Work Based Learning at Middlesex University which is an international leader in the field of professional practice and university level work based learning.

The principle of work based learning is to build courses around the working and training practices of particular industries, sectors or employers, so that the learning that occurs every day as part of your normal training and practice, can be assessed and recognised in an academic framework without the need for unnecessary duplication.

In this way, this degree programme makes it possible to gain an honours degree at the same time as completing the requirements for a higher apprenticeship and professional body membership.

You will need to be working in the construction sector and be likely to continue working in the sector for the duration of the programme (To be registered for a Degree Apprenticeship you will need to be employed as an Apprentice)
You will have either: a foundation degree, HND or equivalent Level 5 qualification in construction or have significant (normally at least five years') prior experience of work in the construction sector.
English and Mathematics at Grade C GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
