Description
Speak in front of an audience without feeling nervous. The ability to present ideas and concepts is an increasingly valuable skill. The ability to influence groups of people and create an impact is rewarding. This course is designed to help you make presentations with confidence in an exciting and professional manner. It will help you plan and deliver a perfect presentation and help you handle your nerves. It is designed for those individuals who are required to deliver presentation to colleagues and or customers. Delegates are required to come to the course prepared to deliver a presentation on the first day and be able to prepare work prior to the second day.
Course Content
· What makes a presentation successful
· Introduction and objectives
· Planning and preparation. The importance of identifying clear objectives, understanding the audience needs, concerns and benefits
· Structuring the presentation - gaining impact and interest. The beginning, middle and end
· Organising your materials - use of prompts and visual aids
· Non verbal communication
· Using your voice for impact
· Body language - the importance of posture and positioning
· Coping with question and answer sessions
· Practical session where delegates will have the opportunity to practice a presentation practice
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
