Description
Progetto Ecate is a small not-for-profit guild that provides educational resources in the graphic arts. Founded in 2005, this innovative and international project aims to promote the understanding of printmaking and to pursue excellence in its practice. It achieves this by providing, maintaining and staffing a print studio, where artists and members of the public can use equipment and attend courses in order to develop their hands on printmaking skills. Our summer school has been appreciated for its variety of subjects and its flexibility in approaching printmaking both in a traditional and in an experimental way. Progetto Ecate Print Workshop is situated in Como, a bustling lively town with a scenic location at the southern end of the east branch of Lake Como. Like the other Italian Lakes, Lake Como has been popular as a resort since the days of the Roman Empire. Visitors ever since have admired the blue waters, lush gardens and luxurious villas in the wooded lakeside slopes.
