This course is ideal for adults who would like to return to education but lack either the skill or the confidence to take on a Level 3 course. This 20 week (Level 2) course will prepare you for further education, giving you confidence in your written work and presentation skills. Advice will be given on your best progression route to reach your chosen goal, using careers guidance and by giving you opportunities to explore all the options available to you.

There are no formal entry requirements. All applicants will be invited for an interview and will complete an online assessment of their English and Maths skills to determine if the course is the most suitable route.


Particular emphasis will be placed on developing and building key communication and study skills that you can apply, either at work or on a higher level course.


This course is designed to give you confidence in the classroom, improve your writing and research skills, teach you how to use Havard referencing, identify your career pathway and give you advice on how you can achieve this.
