Entry RequirementsCity & Guilds/IMI Progression Award in Vehicle Body Repair and Paint Level 2.
Course Content
Our vehicle body repair and paint course includes about 60% practical training,which is carried out at our purpose-built repair centre,and will enable you to gain City & Guilds Certification in Vehicle Body Repair and Paint Refinishing.
Study areas include:·Panel beating·MIG and Oxy-Gas welding·Paint spraying techniques·Two stage and three stage pearl paints·Special effects·Computer-aided paint mixing·Dozer and Porto-power·Body alignment jig work

Students need to supply boots, overalls, and two text books. These will be shown to you on induction.
Full Time study is for one year where students attend college two days a week.
Part Time study is one day per week.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is through practical workshop exercises;students also complete a number of on-line assessments.
What can I do next?
This qualification will allow students opportunities for employment within the vehicle body repair industry or further academic study such as the Institute of Motor Industry Management Course.
