Content / Overview:
Do you ever ask yourself why? Why do I do that? What make some people so different? Psychology is a scientific approach to understanding people, their behaviour and the causes. If people interest you then psychology is for you. In the first year you will study research methods, how your memory works, child development (attachment), stress, conformity and psychopathology. In the second year this is developed for a more in-depth understanding of schizophrenia, addition, research methods, relationships, eating behaviour and gender. Assessment in both years is through exams. Psychology is a challenging choice but is an interesting and useful preparation for university.

Delivery Method:
Reserach, discussion, writing and reading.

Assessment:
Modular exams.

Progression:
Degrees in forensic, clinical psychology, developmental or counselling psychology or combine psychology with other subjects such as criminology.
