Other requirements: For the old GCSE system we require grade C or above and for the new GCSE grading system we will accept grade 4 or higher in both English Language and Maths.​

Course Information ​We provide an integrated approach to the core areas of psychology; developmental, cognitive, social, biopsychology and individual differences. Your focus will be on how these diverse disciplines inform the methods and goals of developmental and educational psychology as it is practiced in Britain and beyond. In your final year you will have the opportunity to specialise completely in child development themed learning and teaching to equip you with the knowledge and skills to make a real difference to people’s lives in the wider community.  Your degree provides a gateway to employment in psychological, educational and social issues that affect the lives of children and young people today. You will be eligible for postgraduate training in a wide variety of child and young people centred professions, including educational psychology, clinical psychology, teaching, social work and youth services.  Read our full course terms and conditions.​ Accredited by British Psychological Society This degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society(BPS) as conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the Society with the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, provided the minimum standard of qualification of a secondclass honours is achieved. This is the first step to becoming aChartered Psychologist.​ This accreditation is important as it is a benchmark of quality, as defined by psychologists. GBC is an entry requirement for many BPS accredited postgraduate training courses, for example: Clinical, Forensic, Counselling, Educational, Occupational or Sport Psychology, one of the routes to becoming a practitioner as, for example, a Clinical Psychologist, a Forensic Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Educational Psychologist, Occupational Psychologist or a Sport Psychologist.
