Course programme

Genetics has been hailed as the supreme science of the twenty first century. Although psychologists have adopted various perspectives to explain many aspects of human behaviour modern genetics has started to provide additional biological insights. However, are we merely a product of our genes or as many psychologists propose do we develop as a consequence of our environment? If questions such as ‘Are some of us born evil or shaped by our environment?’ or ‘How do our genes affect our intelligence and health; is it simply a matter of the right environment and nutrition?’ interest you then this Psychology and Genetics and Human Health degree scheme will stimulate you and provide insights into your questions. This is an opportunity to start one of the most exciting and newest joint honours degree of its’ kind in the United Kingdom, here in Aberystwyth.
