Course programme
Psychology and Information Technology is an exciting subject to study as human beings become increasing reliant on technology. On this degree scheme you will have the opportunity to explore the role of Psychology in understanding human/computer interactions and the impact of computer and communication technologies on human behaviour. An emerging area of research in Psychology is how we interact with each other using technology. What are the human responses to computers, technology, and the cyberworld and how similar are processes in computers and the brain? Both IT specialists and psychologists alike are interested in these questions which have important and far reaching implications for the development of icon design and IT security.
