All full time learners will receive an advisory interview with an A Level Admissions tutor. For part or full time study you should normally have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above. No prior knowledge of psychology is assumed.

Course Description:
Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour and experience. This course looks at how individuals and groups operate, enabling us to understand and predict behaviour.
Description Breakdown:
Students study 2 units. Unit 1 is on cognitive psychology, developmental psychology and research methods. Unit 2 is on biological psychology, social psychology and individual differences.
AS Psychology will be assessed by two 1½ hour written tests which involve structured questions. One exam will be taken in January, and the second will be taken in May.
Students will need to have, or develop, essay writing skills and the ability to critically appraise research.
