Pts - personal track safety

Introduction
This course must be attended by all staff whose duties will require them to work on or near railway lines. Trainees must hold a medical certificate to Group Standard GORT 3353. Delegates have to be sponsored by a Railtrack approved company.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course trainees will be able to:

• Demonstrate their ability to interpret correctly Rule Book (number 2), Track Safety Handbook (TSH) and relevant local instructions when required to go on or near the line.
• Demonstrate their ability to follow a safe system of work

Course Duration
Two days (13 hours), maximum 8 trainees.
Certification
The instructions will be followed by written and practical assessments. Successful trainee's will receive the PTS Certificate of Competence Certificate - Valid for two years, which must be signed by the trainer or examiner, and countersigned by the supervisor/local manager before issue.
