These qualifications aim to equip learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding required for teaching in the Lifelong Learning sector. The objectives of the qualifications are to help learners to: understand the roles and responsibilities of the teacher understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches within a specialist area plan, deliver and evaluate a micro-teach session understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping. Suitable for: This qualification is appropriate for all new entrants to teaching in the lifelong learning sector, or for those who are required to achieve a recognised teaching status as defined in the New Overarching Professional Standards for Teachers, Tutors and Trainers in the Lifelong Learning Sector. This qualification will be taken by all teachers, in a full or associated role.
