Classroom studies are combined with talks by guest speakers and visits to Outdoor Activity centres and take part a variety of activities such as an outdoor camp, climbing in Snowdonia, gym and sports facilities, activity days within the public services for example Army and RAF.

This course is ideal for students looking for a career in public services, for example, HM Revenue and Customs, the police, fire and rescue services, or armed services.

- Public Service Skills
- Uniformed Public Service Fitness
- Uniformed Public Services Employment
- Citizenship, the Individual and Society
- Land Navigation by Map and Compass
- Expedition Skills
Key skills in communication and IT will also be studied as an integral part of the course.
Entry RequirementsLearning & Assessment Methods
Assessment will be by continuous assessment of assignment work, projects, case studies and practical activities.

Progression Opportunities
Progression to National Diplomas in Public Services, Business Studies or Public Administration is possible upon completion of this course.
Career Opportunities
Employment in public services professions, eg HM Revenue and Customs, the police, fire and rescue services or armed services are possible routes for successful students.
