Specialist equipment will be required, the costs of which can be made available on request. Costs will also be applicable for an annual residential.
The Programme
The course also focuses on the development of knowledge, understanding and practical skills in Public Service, offering progression to further education, national diploma, or further training in the Public Services sector.
The Programme Content
The programme consists of six units with a guided learning hour of 360 hours. Units are as follows:
unit 1. Public service Employment unit 6. Adventurous activities & Team work
unit 2. Public service Skills unit 7. Sport & recreation
Unit 3. Public service fitness unit 8. Land navigation
Progression / Careers
Students successfully completing the course may progress to the Level 3 National programme or seek employment in the Public sector. For example, the emergency services or the Military services.
