PUBLISH AND BE DAMNED?: STAYING OUT OF COURT
Writers, editors, web site creators, publishers and their managers
need more than ever to be aware of how the law can impinge on what they
produce.
Recent high-profile court cases in the UK and abroad
illustrate how paper and web publishers can be caught out and cost their
company huge sums of money. And changes in UK law will increase access to
a larger group of potential libel litigants and so boost the risk of
claims against publishers.
Intended for editors, writers and publishers, the course won't turn
you into a lawyer, but it will help you avoid potentially costly problems
in this constantly changing field.
Note: this course is an updated
version of an earlier course,
